In June 2021, Geneva Macro Labs together with its partner organisations
convened a high-level conference on “AI and the future
of work” to discuss opportunities and challenges of artificial
intelligence for the Future of Work.
The half-day event allowed for a lively exchange between practitioners,
policy makers, business leaders, trade union representatives
and activists on the way forward with AI to help build the
future we want. This Solutions Paper is a summary of the discussions
that took place and presents the key solutions identified
by our participants.
The following Solutions Paper documents the discussions during
our conference and the details behind each of these solutions.

International Geneva at a Crossroads: Unlocking Innovative Finance for a New Funding Reality
This paper builds on the discussions held at the WHO Innovation Hub EURÊKA in 2026, co-hosted by Geneva Macro Labs and drawing on the expertise of ge-ni, on how innovative finance can support International Geneva. Through practical examples from UNEP, UNICEF and Medair, it shows how catalytic and blended finance, pre-arranged financing and outcomes-based finance can unlock impact — and how Geneva can move from convening to building the market infrastructure that lets capital flow to where it is needed.
